We, as coaches, need to remember that kids need to have time to be kids and enjoy their youth while they can, and stop putting the emphasis on winning, to a point that when players win a game they don't feel good about it. I think we are not helping our children grow in the proper manner.
This is a great subject. I know that when I use to play I was pretty vocal and never thought I would be able to coach because I would go crazy. It has been the complete opposite. As a coach you must keep your players heads in the game and let them know that you will speak with the Ref if neccessary and to focus on the game. We set examples for our players, and it is a big one.
